            Ⅲ. physical and chemical properties

            1. Appearance: white or off-white powder, odorless and tasteless.

            2. Particle size: the passage rate of 100 meshes is more than 98.5%; and of 80 meshes is 100%.

            3. Packing density: 0.25-0.70g/ cm3.

            4. Soluble in water and some organic solvents, such as appropriate proportion of ethanol/water, acetone/water, and trichloroethane etc. Solution has surfactant peculiarity. PH value shall not affect solubility in water.

            Ⅳ. Main application

            1. Construction industry: with good thixotropy and adhesive, so that mortar can be pumped. As binders in plaster, gypsum material, putty powder or other materials, it has the function of thixotropy and coagulation, which can improve and extend the operational time of painting. As the adhesion enhancer for bonding tiles, marble, plastic decoration, it can reduce the dosage of cement. With water retention, it makes the slurry not dry too fast and cracked, increasing the strength after hardening.

            2. Ceramic industry: widely used as a binder in the manufacture of ceramic products.

            3. Paint industry: as a thickening agent, dispersing agent and stabilizer in the paint industry, and have a good compatibility in water or organic solvents, also can be used in paint remover.

            4. Ink printing: as a thickening agent, dispersing agent and stabilizer in the printing ink industry, and have a good compatibility in water or organic solvents.

            5. Plastic: As forming release agent, softening agent, lubricant etc.

            6. PVC: As dispersant in the polyvinyl chloride production, the main auxiliaries of suspension polymerization for preparing PVC.

            7. Others: This product is also widely used in leather, paper products, fresh fruits and vegetables and the textile industry.

            Ⅴ. Method for dissolution and usage

            1. Heating 1/3 or 2/3 of the hot water to 85 ℃, add with HPMC, to get hot water slurry, add with the residual cold water, keep stirring, obtain the mixture after cooling.

            2. To make porridge liquor: firstly, make HPMC into mother liquor with higher concentration (Methods are same as making above slurry), add with enough cold water and continue to stir until transparent when use.

            3. Dry mixed use: because HPMC has excellent compatibility, which can be conveniently used together with cement, gypsum powder, pigment and filler dry mixed, and achieve the expected results.

            Ⅵ.  Attention of packaging, storage and transportation

            Plastic bags lined with polyethylene or cardboard packaging, each bag (barrel) net weight: 25kg, sealed storage. Prevent the sun and rain and moisture during storage and transportation.
